How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Currently everyone entering our practice is required to wear a face mask. Please arrive with your insurance card, photo ID, and a list of your current medications with the names and dosages available.

What should I do if I need to cancel and / or reschedule my appointment?

If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, we request that you provide the practice with 24 hour notice, so that we may offer that appointment time to another. You may cancel / reschedule your appointment by calling our office at 412-429-8840.

What is the office's late / cancellation policy 

Out of consideration to our other patients, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, there may be a delay in your visit, or you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. What should I do if I need care after hours?

St. Clair Medical Group Cardiology is open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For non-emergency care when our office is closed, we recommend calling St. Clair Urgent Care, which is located at 2000 Oxford Drive, Bethel Park, PA 15102 and is open 7 days a week 9:00 am - 9:00 pm. If this is a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

How do I get a prescription medication refilled?

Please contact your pharmacy with all prescription medication refill requests.

What if I need a referral to another provider or service?

If you require a referral to see another specialist or to have testing, our office will obtain the necessary insurance authorization. When possible, please notify our office at least 5 days in advance to allow time to process the paperwork. We ask that you please do not schedule your appointment before our office contacts you with the authorization. If the authorization is not obtained before the appointment, it may mean that you could be financially responsible.

St. Clair Medical Group Cardiology physicians trust the St. Clair Hospitalists while their patients are hospitalized at St. Clair Hospital. Hospitalists are physicians whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients. St. Clair Hospitalists work with SCMG Cardiology physicians are care managers to ensure the coordination of your care.
